Teja keka movie12/20/2023 Director Teja as writer and director is hardly impressive. Even the picturisation of the songs are also good. Songs by Chakri are impressive with good lyrical value. Frankly speaking, with all due respect to P.C sir, his ‘trademark’ style is visible only in the songs. So much for ‘Kannanba Cutting’! Prior to the release, the film has generated so much interest for the camerawork of P.C.Sreeram. Of other ‘so-called new talent’, the guy who played the role with ‘over-action’ is pain in the neck through out the movie. Anup Kumar who played the negative role is okay (Ajay provides the dubbing). Raasi’s dubbing for Ishana doesn’t suit well. Heroine Ishana has good figure and beauty but she needs to develop on her expressions. Especially he has shown the variation in his character - one with long hair and other one as trendy college going youth. Performances: Veteran lyricist Sirivennela Seetarama Shastry’s younger son Raja has made debut as lead hero with this movie. It doesn’t look as simple as that there is twist in the tale too. When Arjun tells Kiran that he is in love with Sujata, the latter readily sacrifices for their friendship. Now all these three land in same college and love between Arjun and Sujata blossoms again. After an incident, Sujata’s grandparents take to her to the city where her parents fix marriage with a rich guy Kiran (Anup) who happens to be Arjun’s best friend. Both of them hail from Hyderabad but they come to this village on holidays where their grand parents reside. One can't help but wonder if he has lost his touch.Film: Keka My Rating: 3/5 Music: Chakri Editing: Shankar Lyrics: Veturi, Seetarama Shastry, Chandrabose Executive producer: K Jagadeesh Reddy Story, screenplay, dialogues, produced and directed by: Teja Release Date: Oct 23rd, 2008 Cast: Raja, Ishana, Anup Kumar, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Thalaivasu Vijay and host of new actorsSurekha Vani etc My Review: Story: Arjun (Raja) is a student and he meets a young beauty Sujata (Ishana) in a village. Gone is the freshness associated with his films (as his earlier films Chitram and Jayam reflect). Sreeram's effort is top notch but unfortunately, cannot help a film where the story telling is routine.ĭirector Teja seems to have got embroiled in the stereotypical pattern of filmmaking. The cinematography in the songs is awesome. His visuals are stunning in some places - especially in Rajasthan and some places down South. The rest of the cast lend adequate support.īut the highlight of the movie is undoubtedly P C Sreeram's brilliant camerawork. The lead pair Raja and Ishana make a sincere effort, and put on the right emotions. After the twist, the film returns to its routine path.Ĭertain dialogues are vulgar, and the actor playing Kiran's friend gives an over-the-top performance. There is a twist in the tale, which may take many by surprise, but only for a few minutes. The first half of the film moves at a slow pace, but picks up in the second half. The film does have its moments but the story does not offer anything new. When he returns home, his best friend Kiran tells him that he is engaged to Sujata, even though she doesn't want to marry him. One day, a local television channel does a programme on the home and when it is aired, a girl - who lies on a hospital bed - begs to see him. She gets in touch with a mutual friend, Kiran, and suddenly, there is an attempt to kill Arjun.Īrjun then tells the home inmates his story of how he met Sujata (Ishana) and both fell in love with each other when he was on vacation. Arjun (Raja) teaches street children music in Kolkata, and plans to hold a concert to raise funds for a home. Keka is a triangular love story, which begins with a flashback.
